July 2nd, 2008This promo takes its reference from the Sun and Water. Created in Apple Motion, a background of flowing water forms a base for animated text. The text Sunshine Coast is repeated around a center point, masked, colored and animated to give the feel of the suns rays.
Background fish were produced by drawing a single fish shape with Motions mask shape tools and animating many instances of the shape to produce a realistic school of fish. This is an example the subtle yet important attention to detail that creating visual elements requires. The fish are not prominant but their inclusion makes for a more visually interesting scene.
Displacement was applied to the main text to simulate an undewater feel.
